It takes self-control to sit down at the computer and work on that novel. Hmm, why doesn't it take self-control to surf the Net or visit blogs?

Blessings,
Susan :)Susan J. If you think about advertising, self-control is absolutely essential in order to avoid emotional decisions. Submitting to the Lord + exercising this discipline will lead to success! Have a wonderful week! God bless!

Terri - Great to see you! I'd have to agree with your observation: there's always room for growth and development (this side of heaven!). So, thanks Maria for sharing your thoughts with us. Yesterday the pastor at my church discussed self control in terms of tithing and resistance to worry and anxiety about life. Right now, I'm preparing for a move to another state, and am dealing with the concerns it brings, such as finances, meeting new people, etc. On top of that, I am working to establish a healthy eating and exercise routine. Thank you for reminding me that I have to practice discipline in order to positive results.Brandi Boddiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08017741568841209088noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4691883326513386349.post-72291329237526125302011-06-27T11:01:46.548-07:002011-06-27T11:01:46.548-07:00Anne - Thanks so much for stopping by Life Lessons...Anne - Thanks so much for stopping by Life Lessons! And for sharing your insights. I appreciate your honesty! I'm learning more and more, that the Spirit of God desires to work in me - I just need to give Him control. When I yield to Him, He's more than willing to grow the right stuff in me! Praise the Lord! And I thought I was doing well in that area! But He keeps revealing other areas, more subtle, where I choose self-indulgence. So I'm trying to keep my eyes on Jesus and off of myself and my desires. Easier said that done! But so thankful for the Holy Spirit who grows His fruit in our lives!Anne Mateerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11330467138236037032noreply@blogger.com
