Recently, I've been encouraged by websites that take time to
recount the blessings of the Lord. So I've decided to make today - Thankful
Thursday.
Take a few moments to read the following passage from
Ephesians:
"Blessed be the
God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual
blessings in heavenly places in Christ: 4 According as he hath chosen us in him
before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame
before him in love: 5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by
Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 6 To the
praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the
beloved. 7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of
sins, according to the riches of his grace," (Ephesians 1:3-7; KJV).
Wow! If you're a child of the King, these verses spell out at
least 6 reasons to be thankful. Can you find them?
*I'm blessed (v. 3)
*I'm chosen (v. 4)
*I'm adopted (v. 5)
*I'm accepted (v. 6)
*I'm redeemed (v. 7)
*I'm forgiven (v. 7)
Some other things I'm thankful for this week:
*a fantastic family
*good health
*summertime
*wonderful friends
*the opportunity to write and share the truths of God's Word
