Recently, I've been encouraged by websites that take time to
recount the blessings of the Lord. So I've decided to make today - Thankful
Thursday.
Take a few moments to read the following passage from
Ephesians:
"Blessed be the
God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual
blessings in heavenly places in Christ: 4 According as he hath chosen us in him
before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame
before him in love: 5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by
Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 6 To the
praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the
beloved. 7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of
sins, according to the riches of his grace," (Ephesians 1:3-7; KJV).
Wow! If you're a child of the King, these verses spell out at
least 6 reasons to be thankful. Can you find them?
*I'm blessed (v. 3)
*I'm chosen (v. 4)
*I'm adopted (v. 5)
*I'm accepted (v. 6)
*I'm redeemed (v. 7)
*I'm forgiven (v. 7)
Some other things I'm thankful for this week:
*a fantastic family
*good health
*summertime
*wonderful friends
*the opportunity to write and share the truths of God's Word

Deleteoh oh oh - first off - LOVE THAT VERSE:) As for my thankful right now? A new car to drive. We recently found out our used car was not quite as safe as we'd thought (the sellers hadn't been completely honest) and we now have something safe to transport the kiddos in:) So, not only am I thankful for that, but for God protecting us as we drove the other one--He knew it's condition even if we didn't!
